We as board members and many of our club members would really like to see this club grow in the future! We feel like we have a lot to offer in a club setting, and would like to hear some suggestions from you as to what you think we could do as a club to make this an even BIGGER and BETTER club for next year?!?! Things like maybe changing the way the pay-outs are set up? What lakes would you like to see or not see on the schedule? Should we allow or not allow locking through? We are wide open for suggestions, and will take every suggestion into consideration. Please post you suggestions on here for all to see!!!
Thank you

One suggestion I have or just my $0.02, is the issue of locking through. Since 3 of the 4 lakes we fish are all part of the Tennesse River system, and it is possible to access all three bodies of water from any of the giving tournament blast off sites. Then what is the purpose of rotating tournaments between this three bodies of water. Why not just let everyone drive to which ever one of the three lakes they want to fish and fish that lake then everyone meet back at a particular site to weigh in. So, I think locking through should not be allowed everyone should have to fish the pre-determined lake that is set forth on the yearly schedule. This is just one thought I have and with that said I think we have a great club and have enjoyed fishing with everyone the last two years.

Two suggestions for the coming year: 1. Eliminate locking thru in any tournament....everyone should fish each tournament on the given lake. 2. Tournament times should be change to "safe light" to 3:00P.M.
Thanks for your consideration of these suggestions.

First, let me say, these are JUST ideas, as I am personaly pleased with the club and the way things are handled. Everything is Black and White, no gray areas, rules are written out and followed. Locking through, I would rather that not be an option as 3 locations are linked together Lake selection: I like where we are going now, I wouldn't mind if another one was added as long as it is not Nealy Henry The only additional item I would like to mention is the Classic. I wish it was not an active trail lake and was one that would not be a normal consideration for a trail lake. I'll carry it even further; On the 11t tx, all teams that are eligible submit a location, either by majority count or by drawing the lake is announced. That gives everyone 45-60 days to make arrangements. Or even announce it within 30 dys of the classic, which will eliminate allowable guide service. Just a thought

i think we need to make a spot for highest finishing youth team and highest point youth team it is allready set up on entree fee . I had seveal people at the youth tournament asking a lot of questions about how to join the club wanting something that they could fish with there kid .I am not sugesting a seprate tournament for them just a first place trophy each tournament with in the tournament. Maybe you sighn up with someone under 16 and get 15th place in the tournament but are the highest place of the other boats with a under 16 year old you would get a trophy they would still fish for the pot like everyone . i think the youth tournament shows there is a need for something for the kids with in a tournament

How about the lakes? I know we will stay with Chickamauga, Nickajack and Guntersville. How about dropping Weiss Lake, and adding in Watts Bar lake? The reason I bring this up is, Tow Boat Us does not sponsor us when we are on Weiss Lake. They will sponsor us if we fish Watts Bar lake? With three tournaments, and the Classic being on Weiss lake this year, we have left a total of $800.00 for someone just laying on the table? We did get $500.00 for sponsorship money from Little River Marina and Lodge to help off set some of that money, but that still leaves $300.00 just gone. Just a thought for you guys. Like I said, we will take every suggestion into consideration.
Please keep the suggestion's coming.

Maybe allowing the 1-5 places or so have those take off numbers automatically for the Txs, and could change as the points shuffle all year. You could still draw for better position anything under the top5 and still make the club some money....

I ,as well, would like to see a great bass club get better and grow. When I talk with people about joining our club, the number one reason they will not join is they say they can't afford to fish different lakes and travel/prefish these lakes to be competitive. I think if we cut out the lakes we travel, which would be considered a long drive, more people would join. Watts Bar was brought up as a lake to fish. Even though the lake would put more money out on the table for people to win, I feel it would be more of a deterrent for people to join. Most of the local fishermen/women who fish local txs./club rely on a full time, average paying job to fund their love for tx. fishing. With the price of gas and other necessities (lodging, food, etc.) getting more and more expensive, it is hard for the majority of potential new members to justify fishing lakes which are a long drive when they can fish a local tx. for less money and feel they can be more competitive. However, I enjoy fishing different lakes and am happy with the current lakes we fish, but for myself I sometimes have to justify if whether or not it is worth the cost. I guess if we all had a sponsor to fund our love for tx. fishing we wouldn't have to worry about the money aspect of it.

How about two of the 12 tournaments each year being a blind lake meaning the lakes that are decided by the board and club to fish for the year, two tournaments the lake would not be announced until the day prior to fishing. The lake could be a draw and posted on the TVBC tournament board. Just a thought of something different.

My opinion is to Keep locking through allowed. The ones who choose to do so loose considerable amounts of fishing time and there's always that chance of not making it back through the locks by weigh-in time. I believe those 2 things even out the playing field.

First, I want to say how much I've enjoyed fishing with you guys this year. This is a good club and the board is doing a great job. There's no way to please everyone at all times but you guys do try. *Locking through-I'm on the fence, I wish we all fished the same lake, but those that choose to lock through do give up fishing time. *I like the youth team idea of recognizing the top finisher. *I would agree to drop Weiss and pick up Watts Bar. *Classic-not know until 30 days out and draw one of the four lakes we fish.

My vote would be to fish Chickamauga, Guntersville, and Nickajack only if Lake Weiss is dropped.

Keep the suggestion's coming guys! I have another suggestion that I would like to hear from you on what you guys think. Next year we will be fishing 11 point tournaments plus the year end Classic, instead of 12 point tournaments plus the Classic. This decision was made last year to keep from fishing the last points tournament and the Classic in the same month. With all this being said, what do you guys think about doing away with the 1 drop for the points? We will count all 11 tournaments for the points race?
