I know the BASS Classic is the same weekend as our Feb 20th tournament on Guntersville but, are any of you going down to Birmingham AL on Sunday to watch the weigh in and see who wins?

I am going for the whole weekend ;D Last year I went to Lousiana and stayed at the horseshoe on the redriver.I followed KVD around the whole weekend on the river. We fished a little and gamble alot. Its was something to see the Pro's in action. For the ones that never been it is truly something to watch. The tv doesnt do it justice how these Pro's are so like a machine no wasted time or motion.

Dad and I are considering going to Birmingham as well for the Bass Classic, and attempting to follow an angler or two around and watch them fish on Sunday. I know some of you like Mark Middleton have done this before. Mark or anyone else, do you have any suggestions on the best way to go about this??
I'm guessing BASS is not going to let anyone else put in at the same boat ramp, so should we put in at another ramp near by an drive to the Classic ramp before blast off and wait an pick a pro we want to follow? Or just drop-in in a nearby ramp sometime Sunday morning and just drive around till we find a pro??

You are right, the boat ramp will not be open for the public. That was the way it was on the Red River. I have a friend that grew up on the Red River that fished all the time.So he knew all the boat ramps around the area and how to get around.I was there for the media day so you could talk to them straight up face to face about what area they were going to fish. Most of them were open minded and would say the area they planned to fish.So with that being said.We put in at a boat ramp that was around the area they were fishing. So we were there waiting in the general area waiting on them to show up. I will Google search the lake and find a ramp close by and let them come to me.Since I wont be there for media day.

Just to let you guys know...If you are lifetime BASS members there is special seating for you and up to 3 guests. You do have to register and I did it on the phone with BASS. It took only about 5 minutes and your credentials will be waiting on you when you get there. There is also an area that you have access to that you can get off your feet and rest a bit. Lifetime members also have their own entrance into the arena for the weigh in.
So if you are a lifetime member it would make sense to register and get better seating.
